Practice for Campbell at Gold Coast on Friday
MOTORSPORT: Warwick driver Matt Campbell will be in action on the Gold Coast street circuit this weekend in the last of three enduro races in the V8 Supercars series.
Practice at the Gold Coast starts Friday with Campbell and co-driver Shane van Gisbergen in two identical races at 2.25pm Saturday and Sunday over 102 laps.
Each lap at the Gold Coast is 2.96km so the combined distance raced will be 600km.
On UBET, van Gisbergen and Campbell were equal third favourites on $6.50 for the first race at the Gold Coast.
In the battle for the drivers' championship, van Gisbergen is at $67 after starting Bathurst at $80 so still has an outside chance.
V8 PROGRAM
Friday: Practice at 10.55am, 2pm (co-drivers only) and 4.55pm
Saturday: Qualifying at 11.20am; race at 2.25pm
Sunday: Qualifying at 9.45am; top-10 shootout at 11.40am; race at 2.25pm.
