Pringle Cottage's Anzac Open Day

PRINGLE Cottage will host its Anzac Heritage Open Day at the Warwick and District Historical Society Inc. Museum Complex on Sunday.

The Open Day is being held as part of the National Trust's Queensland Heritage Festival running from April 18 to May 18.

Partly funded by the Southern Downs Regional Council, the event will explore the region's connection to the Anzac tradition, and open the Keep the Home Fires Burning exhibition, featuring memorabilia from the First World War which will run until the end of May.

There will be demonstrations of craft and songs of the era, as well as the special sale of Rosemary for Remembrance, bagpipe playing, and a flag-raising Light Horse display.

The exhibition depicts events overseas and locally during the war, and includes items like war time journals and photos from the battlefields.

Entry to the museum is $2, plus a gold coin donation for the exhibition.

Open this Sunday from 9am-2.30pm, and 10am-3pm weekdays and 12-3pm Saturdays from April 20 (excl. Anzac Day).

Contact Pringle Cottage on 4661 3234 for more information.
