Properties up for sale for unpaid rates

SOUTHERN Downs Regional Council have flagged eight properties to be sold under the hammer later this month pending unpaid rates.

The lots will be sold at 11am on Thursday, May 26 at the Warwick Council Building unless the rates and expenses owing on the said land, details of which have already been supplied, are sooner paid.

Speaking at Warwick Town Hall last night for the first of four public draft budget consultation sessions, council CEO David Keenan said the money obtained from sales would not be included in the budget.

The land will sold subject to any mortgage, lien, bill of sale, caveat, judgment, writ or other charge, agreement or process registered against or in any way affecting the land in favour of the crown or any crown instrumentally or any person representing the crown.
