Pull on a beanie and join in big car boot sale fundraiser
WINTER is here and what better time to go through your cupboards and the shed and clear out unwanted clutter that could mean treasure to someone else - and extra cash for you?
The Freestone Hall Committee is holding a Car Boot Sale on July 21 - with a beanie theme to coincide with the chilly season.
Committee president John Payne said vendors for just $15 could secure a large site on which to park their vehicle in the spacious grounds of the Freestone Hall and open their car boot full of wares to the buying public.
"It's a great opportunity to have a clean-out of the house ahead of spring, and to make some quick cash in a no-fuss way," Mr Payne said.
"There will heaps of sites available and the hall is easy for people to find.
"We are also welcoming those who would like to set up art and craft stalls on the day - the more the merrier."
