Scots College dux tops OP scores
THE wait is finally over for Queensland students who received their OP results Friday night.
For Scots PGC College dux Giorgia Brennan, a high score was just the icing on the cake before she goes to university to study architecture next year.
"I got an OP 2 and I was really happy with that," she said.
"I wasn't really anxious, I was pretty chilled and hadn't thought about it too much but there was definitely a lot of encouragement through school to do well."
Also a keen athlete, Giorgia said she balanced out her subjects - maths B, geography, biology, accounting and English - with plenty of sport through the year.
"I did netball, touch and rugby sevens through the year - I definitely had to do something else than just study," she said.
"I guess I'm pretty competitive and I've had a very supportive family but I wasn't expecting the 2.
Giorgia said Warwick had a good pool of students, which made the competition tough.
"We've had a lot of good results, lots of below-fives with my friends," she said.
"I suppose the OP results are a bit daunting but it's pretty competitive at Scots so for some people I suppose that gives them a bit of determination.
"It's only a year; it's a quick year, it goes pretty quickly so you just have to put in 100% effort while you're there."
