IT started off like any normal Friday at Freestone School until word got around about the snow at Stanthorpe.

Students and staff gathered their beanies, packed their morning tea and boarded the bus, heading south for an adventure.

One prep student said, "Wow, this is the best Friday ever. We get library, tuckshop AND snow."

The students played at Quart Pot Creek in Stanthorpe.

It was the first time many of them had seen snow and it is sure to be a school day they won't forget.
