Putting the fun into fundraising
FUNDRAISING is one of the biggest duties for a showgirl entrant and Abbey Seidel is determined to raise as much as she can for the show society.
The showgirl entrant will be hosting a fundraiser tonight from 6.30pm at the Doug Feez Pavilion, complete with an auction, bar and entertainment.
Abbey's mum Simone Seidel said local businesses had been very generous in supporting Abbey and there were some great items up for grabs.
"There will be raffles run on the night as well as lucky door prizes and a wine grab that has been supported with wine donated by the drive thru at Warwick Hotel," she said.
Some of the items up for auction include a coffee machine, framed horse prints and a 19-inch TV.
Entertainment for the evening will be provided by local up and coming artist Ebony Wickham, who competed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival and finished second overall in her category. Mrs Seidel said the show society had been very generous in donating the use of the pavilion for Abbey tonight.
"Abbey kicked off her fundraising with a sausage sizzle last week that was supported by Lyons Street Butchery," she said.
"She has been overwhelmed by the community support she has been receiving and is looking forward to seeing the night well supported."
Tickets are available on the night for $5 each, with plenty of table room available.
