QLD and NSW team up to fight bushfire at Cullendore

THE Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is currently assisting New South Wales Rural Fire Service to control a large bushfire just south of the Queensland border at Cullendore Rd, Cullendore, south-east of Warwick.

This fire is not threatening property at this stage. Firefighters are currently working to strengthen containment lines and contain spot fires on the eastern flank.

Aerial operations have conducted water bombing today and will continue into the afternoon. Residents are advised to close windows and doors and keep medications close by for any respiratory conditions.

Motorists are urged to drive to conditions where smoke is affecting road visibility.
