Qld cricket star Chris Lynn fined for social media rant
QUEENSLAND Bulls batsman Chris Lynn has become the second cricketer in a week to be fined for Twitter comments.
At a hearing in Brisbane last night, Lynn pleaded guilty to the breach under the Cricket Australia Code of Behaviour and was fined $2000.
The 23-year-old breached the same rule of the code as David Warner for his Twitter rant against journalists.
He broke Rule 6: Unbecoming Behaviour - relating to posts he made on Twitter last week regarding the incident involving rugby league player Ben Te'o.
Queensland-based Code of Behaviour Commissioner Glen Williams handed out the fine on behalf of Cricket Australia.
