Queensland hospitals to be probed for combustible cladding

THREE more hospitals across Queensland have been flagged as potentially containing combustible cladding.

The Sunday Mail understands Cairns, Mackay and Lady Cilento Children's hospitals were referred to the State Government's audit taskforce for further investigation, the Courier Mail reports.

The audit taskforce was established after the deadly Grenfell Tower inferno in the UK, and it is investigating 44 buildings - 23 government owned and 21 private - for potentially combustible cladding.

Other buildings being investigated include the Boggo Rd science precinct and the Clem 7 entrance canopies.
