POLOCROSSE: The Cameron Shepherd captained Queensland side has three wins in three games and is set to play in tomorrow’s final in the National Polocrosse Championships in Albury.

Anthony O’Leary and Kelsey Rowland, from the Southern Downs, will play finals polocrosse in the nationals in Albury this weekend.

They are part of the Queensland under-21 mixed team which has qualified for the final against New South Wales this afternoon.

O’Leary plays for the Cunningham club and Rowland is a Warwick player.

The Queensland under-16 girls lost by one goal to Western Australia yesterday which put them out of finals contention.

The Queensland open mixed team is odds on to play in the final on Sunday with one round game to go today. Katie Barr (Warwick) and Chris Sillitoe (Cunningham) are in the team which is coached by Warwick official Kent Wells.

The nationals conclude tomorrow.
