Motorists still risk drink-driving during holidays

QUEENSLAND Police are warning motorists not to risk drink-driving these Christmas holidays after two crashes in Brisbane and in central Queensland yesterday.

State Traffic Support Branch's Acting Superintendent Craig Hanlon said he was disappointed people were still not getting the message about drink-driving.

"It is clear, that despite all the information on the risks associated with drink-driving and tough penalties, drivers continue to put their lives and the lives of other road users at risk," Act Sup Hanlon said.

"We will be anywhere, anytime."
