CHRISTMAS celebrations will be extra special for one Queensland ticket holder who won more than $700,000 in the Christmas Eve Lotto draw.

The winning ticket from Queensland, one of six winners around Australia, was purchased at newsXpress Westpoint in Browns Plains.

Three Victorian tickets, one from South Australia and one from Western Australia also took out the $757,320 division one prize. The winning numbers from the first Christmas Eve Lotto draw since 2011 were 39, 24, 5, 9 and 4.

The supplementary numbers were 15 and 29.

There have been 291 division on Saturday Lotto winners in 2016.

Tatts Group Lotteries spokeswoman Elissa Lewis this Christmas would be unforgettable for the six winning ticket holders.

"This year's Christmas Eve Lotto draw gave players the chance to share in a $4 million division one prize pool and share their windfall at this special time of year," Ms Lewis said.

Those still hoping for an end of year miracle still have next Saturday's $31 million Megadraw to hold out for.
