Questions raised by the odds for Perth Scorchers
Opinion with Michael Bourke
IT SEEMS that Ashton Turner was given Buckley's or no chance of hitting a four to get the Perth Scorchers over the line in a recent game against the Sydney Thunder.
With one ball to go and four runs to win, the Winviz computer system used by Fox Sports rated Turner's team only a one per cent chance of winning despite Turner being 58 not out at the time with Daniel Sams bowling.
Turner hit two for the Scorchers to go to 60 but that wasn't enough so the Thunder won by one run.
I would have picked Turner to have been able to hit more than one ball to the boundary if he was given 100 shots at it from Sams' bowling.
India's best yet
THE Indian pace bowling attack is the best they have sent to Aussie shores.
This is evidenced by the Aussies' inability to post decent scores against bowlers Bumrah and Shami, with the Indians set to take home the Border-Gavaskar trophy no matter the result in the Fourth Test match. Hopefully a good showing in this Test can set Australia up for the Sri Lanka Test series.

MY TIP for the Perth Cup this Saturday is for Gatting.
