Quick turnaround tough for Euan

DRAGONS centre Euan Aitken was outstanding for Country against City on Sunday, but admits it has been a battle preparing for tonight's clash against the Raiders.

Aitken, who made 172m, two line breaks and scored a try in his team's 44-30 loss in his first City-Country fixture, will have to back up in round 10 of the NRL at Jubilee Stadium tonight ... a four-day turnaround.

The Raiders have also named Country's Shannon Boyd, Paul Vaughan, Jack Wighton and skipper Jarrod Croker as well as City's Aidan Sezer to back up, while Country representative Tyson Frizell will run out for St George-Illawarra.

"We all talked about the short turnaround and how it was a bad decision to play on a Thursday night after a Sunday rep game," Aitken said.

"Five days I can understand, but either way I'm sure we'll be ready to go.

"It's not optimal but ... I've always had the energy to play rugby league. It's a passion of mine.

"I really want to turn it up and really prove why I was selected for Country Origin."

Aitken said his team showed up with a poor attitude in its last-start 26-10 loss to the Warriors in Auckland, while the Raiders were beaten 19-18 by Penrith in a thriller before the representative round.

Dragons lock Jack De Belin was a casualty from the representative match in Tamworth, suffering a rotator cuff injury. He is expected to back in round 16.
