Quilt display set to drive cause again
OVER the past five years one Warwick event has raised more than $50,000 for charity and with your help, this year could be the biggest one yet.
The Airing of the Quilts is back on again this weekend and promises to be a great day out for an even better cause.
Organised and hosted by cancer survivor Glenis Pugliese, the event aims to raise both money and awareness of cancers affecting both men and women. Last year alone the event raised $12,000 for research into breast and prostate cancers.
Busloads of travellers dutifully make the trek to Warwick for the weekend festivities, with more and more people discovering the Airing of the Quilts every year.
Beautiful handcrafted quilts will be on display around the grounds, along with stalls, entertainment, raffles and lucky gate prizes.
The Airing of the Quilts will be held from 10am to 4pm tomorrow and Sunday at The Glenrose B&B, 138 Ogilvie Rd.
The entry cost is $5.
