Rabbitohs Grand Final the most-watched NRL game of all time
THE Rabbitohs' premiership-drought ending victory will go down in history for another reason.
Last night's tightly-contested match between South Sydney and the Bulldogs is the highest ever rating NRL game.
A peak national audience of 4.65 million viewers tuned in to the clash, which secured an average national audience of 3.951 million viewers.
Last week's AFL grand final drew a slightly bigger five-city metro audience of 2.813 million, compared to last night's metro average of 2.597 million.
The Bunnies' emotional win also came just shy of topping another drought-ending win: the Blues' State of Origin victory earlier this year drew an average metro audience of 2.7 million viewers.
