Race on for a big payday
WITH the Warwick Cup washed out this year, today's event will be the biggest of the year, with owners and trainers racing for more than $27,000 worth of prize money.
Days like these could not go ahead without sponsors, and the Warwick Turf Club its thanks to its race sponsors; Warwick Real Estate, Hynes Newsagency, Steele's Bakery, Brian Bunch Plumbing, Panasonic Studio Productions and Hopes Body Repairs, who have regularly supported the club.
Race 1: 1.30pm - Warwick Real Estate/Hynes Newsagency Maiden Plate (800m)
Sweet Sweet Love is the top pick on exposed form coming of an unlucky third last start at Chinchilla.
Race 2: 2.05pm - Steele's Bakery & Cafe QTIS Maiden Plate (1200m)
THERE are three real good chances in this but my hard earned will be going on Our Little Missy.
Race 3: 2.40pm - Hope's Spring Repairs Class B Handicap (1200m)
Another tricky class B race that should provide a bit of value to punters. Monde Bijou looks to have the best exposed form with two last start seconds at Toowoomba on the Cushion Track in harder company.
For the placings, 1 Jester Smile and Sequalo Mix.
Race 4: 3.19pm - Hope's Body Repairs Open Handicap (1200m)
The feature race on the card looks an absolute cracker, with plenty of both Brisbane and Country Cups horses in this race.
The market should be wide open, with plenty of chances with the field only having a difference in weights of five kilos.
Race 5: 3.59pm - Brian Bunch Plumbing Class 3 Plate (1100m)
The scamper over the 1100m to finish the meeting looks like a cracking race.
Regal Scout was impressive last prep with a solid second in a Class 3 at the Gold Coast behind Luna Life.
For the placings, 7 Spirit and Seas and 10 Tegic.
