Warwick Hospital radiology unit gets makeover

THE Warwick diagnostic imagining unit has welcomed private company Alpenglow as the new provider for imaging.

Previously run through Queensland Health, the radiology unit still offers bulk billing on CT scans, x-rays (including dental) and ultrasounds since going into private health.

Receptionist Belinda Black said the radiology team was happy to be under the Alpenglow branch.

"We have three radiographers who work here - chief radiographer and practice manager Joel Vincent, and Penny Bailey and Maria Tahir," Mrs Black said.

"Then there's myself and Julianne Gray, the colourful ladies at reception.

"We're all excited to see how Alpenglow will take us into the future and deliver diagnostic services because a lot has been invested for the community."

The unit recently received a brand new 160 slice CT scanner and ultrasound machine.

Warwick Diagnostic Imaging opens from 8.30am-5pm on weekdays.

For information, phone Warwick Diagnostic Imaging on 4661 4422.
