Raiders star back to tackle Knights

CANBERRA has received a boost ahead of Saturday's home game against Newcastle with Queensland and Australian representative Josh Papalii set to return from an ankle injury.

Coincidentally, Papalii (pictured) has not played since suffering the injury against the Knights in round two. He will replace Jake Foster in the second row.

Shannon Boyd and Jarrad Kennedy also return for the Raiders following illness, while winger Bill Tupou has recovered from a hamstring strain and will replace Sami Sauiluma on the left flank.

After returning from an achilles injury against the Eels last week, Broncos co-captain Justin Hodges has been named to start in Friday's local derby against the Titans on the Gold Coast.

Winger Lachlan Maranta drops out of the squad.

Wests Tigers coach Mick Potter has named debutant Kurtis Rowe to replace the injured James Tedesco at fullback for Saturday's game against the Cowboys.

Blake Austin will replace Braith Anasta at five-eighth after the veteran accepted a one-match ban for a shoulder charge.

Interim Warriors coach Andrew McFadden has rung the changes after replacing Matthew Elliott at the helm on Monday.

Ngani Laumape will replace winger Glen Fisiiahi (shoulder), Thomas Leuluai takes over from Chad Townsend at five-eighth, and Sebastine Ikahihifo replaces Feleti Mateo at lock.

Rookie hooker Siliva Havili has been added to an extended bench for the clash against the Bulldogs at Eden Park on Sunday.
