Rain in region highest in Queensland, but still not a lot
WARWICK residents were sent off to sleep to the welcomed sound of rain last night.
The Rose City recorded a rainfall total of 2.6mm, but just up the road at Glengallan Creek 11mm fell.
Stanthorpe recorded 8mm of rain, while Queen Mary Falls had a total of 7mm.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Mark Trenorden said the region had the highest falls in Queensland, but the totals were still not very high and there was no more on the horizon.
"There was a trough system that went through yesterday afternoon and that's now gone seawards, so that's now history and we're back into fine conditions,” he said.
Minimum temperatures are set to drop in Warwick from tomorrow, with frost predicted for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
"We've got this very dry air pushing through from the south, so dry conditions, light winds, clear skies gives us those cold nights,” Mr Trenorden said.
Warwick is predicted to reach a top of 19 degrees today before warming up to 21 degrees tomorrow and 22 degrees on Wednesday.
