RAIN WATCH: Rain and freezing cold on the way

MORE rain is on the way for the Southern Downs and Granite Belt.

Rain is forecast for today and tomorrow followed by freezing conditions on Wednesday.

The rain should set in this afternoon and there is also a chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon and this evening.

Today's temperature should reach 20 degrees and down to a minimum of 10 overnight with tomorrow looking at a maximum of 18 degrees with an 80% of rain.

Then on Wednesday get ready to rug up with a cold and windy day expected.

The minimum will get down to four degrees and the maximum will only reach a cold 11 degrees throughout the day.

Thursday will see the temperature rise again to be 17 through the day.
