Rain to hang around
RAIN is forecast on the Southern Downs and Granite Belt until Thursday but the intensity will start to ease off from today.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Vinord Anand said an upper level trough was stationed between Goondiwindi and St George yesterday.
"It is a fairly complicated system and there could be less rain (on the Southern Downs) depending on where the low goes," Mr Anand said.
On the Southern Downs and Granite Belt, the largest fall to 9am yesterday was 88mm at Applethorpe.
There was 38mm at Inglewood to 9am yesterday and another 26mm to 4pm.
Warwick recorded 27mm to 9am and 1mm to 4pm.
Yesterday, Warwick student Jasmine Phillips said she was looking forward to more rainfall.
