Rainy days predicted for the weekend
WARWICK residents could be in for a weekend of rain, as yesterday's stormy weather looks set to continue into today.
Environdata recorded that the Warwick CBD had received up to 5mm yesterday, and that rainfall is likely to continue over the Warwick and Granite Belt region in coming days.
According to Weatherzone reports, there is a 60% chance of rain today with the likelihood of possible thunderstorms rolling in, sometime in the late morning and afternoon.
On Saturday, that chance to score some rain still remains high at 40%, with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting there could be up to 4mm on Saturday and showers expected in the morning and afternoon.
The good news comes just in time, as reports reveal this year's September rainfall is significantly lower than the historic average.
Weatherzone reports show while the average rainfall for September is usually 38.1mm, this year's recordings barely scrape in at 0.2mm.
