Rams play Cutters in BRL game today
RUGBY LEAGUE: The Wallangarra Rams will use today's game against Killarney at Wallangarra to fine turn their form for the finals series in the Border Rugby League competition.
The Rams will finish third on the table and play Tenterfield in the August 29 finals match at Tenterfield with the winner to play Stanthorpe at Sullivan Oval a week later in the grand final.
One of few high points for fourth-placed Killarney this season was the selection of captain-coach John Trindall in the Queensland Outback side which had a win at Thursday Island.
Rams coach Alan Wetzler said things were looking good for his team in the run-up to the finals.
"The side is training well and we want to really hit our straps for the finals," Wetzler said.
"This is the first year together for most of the A-grade team."
In the game tomorrow, it will be Stanthorpe at home to Tenterfield in three BRL games as part of a top day of footy at Sullivan Oval which includes the Intrust Super Cup game.
Reserve grade is at 10am tomorrow, A grade at 11am, the Falcons/Bears cup game at 1.40pm and women's league tag at 3.30pm at Sullivan Oval.
