Rats cling to hope for a finals chance after win

HALFBACK Robert Enright was players' player as Warwick beat the Toowoomba Bears 21-7 at Risdon Oval to keep their C-grade final hopes alive.

Warwick led 14-0 at half-time.

Team prop Neil McCosker said the performance was much improved on last week's loss to Chinchilla.

"We need to win by 30 points against Toowoomba Rangers in Toowoomba on Saturday and Goondiwindi has to beat Bears in Toowoomba for us to make the finals," McCosker said.

Goondiwindi is in the top three so, on form, should beat the Bears.

McCosker said his side would again be at full strength for the game against Rangers.

"We had a good crowd at the game. It was up there with the best crowd of the season," McCosker said.

For the second week running, Warwick will train two nights a week - Tuesday and Thursday.
