Rats face Wheatmen at Dalby in Downs rugby
RUGBY UNION: A road trip to Dalby is never easy but one to be faced by the Water Rats B-grade side today.
Warwick will play Dalby at 1.30pm as a forerunner to the A-grade game between the Dalby Wheatmen and UQ Gatton.
Coach Vlad Savovski is keen for a win this week after his side went down in round one to USQ.
Last season Warwick made the semis in B grade but was knocked out in the second week of the finals.
Club president Andrew Williams said last year Dalby had a solid team in Bgrade.
"We can generally hold our own with any team in the forwards but our backs will have to step up against Dalby,” Williams said.
"The club has had good numbers at training for men and women so far this season but we have the door open for more players at any time.”
The Warwick Water Rats women's sevens team has a lot of players unavailable this weekend so isn't playing. Warwick will host three women's teams on April 22 from 11am along with three men's games.
