Rats rugby women go from strength to strength
RUGBY UNION: There wasn't one star for the Water Rats women in a successful day of sevens rugby at Heritage Oval on Saturday.
Warwick coach Lauren Quinlan said opposition coaches were in high praise of the performance of the Warwick team.
"I couldn't select a best player, all 13 played well,” Quinlan said.
"We will probably be third on the table now after going into the weekend games in fourth place.”
Warwick started the day with a 29-0 win against USQ Saints and then beat Goondiwindi 27-0.
In the final, Warwick went down 10-7 to Dalby.
Six of the seven teams in the Darling Downs women's competition played at Heritage Oval on Saturday.
The next women's carnival is at Gatton on July 22 and then Warwick will host a carnival on August 5.
In men's rugby, Warwick had the bye.
