Rebels primed for Inglewood clash

CHRIS Fox and Chris Stokes are the biggest improvers in a Warwick Rebels club which goes from strength to strength in the Border Rugby League competition.

The Budget Car Sales Rebels take on Inglewood in reserve grade at 1.30pm and A grade at 2.30pm tomorrow at Inglewood.

President Geordie Beckhouse said Fox and Stokes had been the major improvers in the first three weeks of the fixture season.

“I was happy with how we kept (premiers) Texas to 24-all in A grade last weekend before going down 40-32,” Beckhouse said.

“We just have to improve our handling.”

While Beckhouse and team officials have selected two squads of 17 for the trip to Inglewood, he expects another six players to be on the bench.

“We are improving with every game, the boys are loving it.”

While the Rebels have away games this weekend, they are already preparing for their next home games on June 4 against Stanthorpe at Eastern Suburbs oval, a round which will follow a full day of junior fixtures.

A grade: Daniel Talbot, Kevin Poole, Josh Williams, Chris Stokes, Nathan Duncan, Cameron Charles, James Jerome, Geordie Beckhouse, Cain Buckland, Gavin Beckhouse, Steve Jeffery, Codey Hayward, Martin Bakon, Greg Mills, Dave Duroux and Sam Speedy. Coach Leon Close.
