Record temperatures tipped today
RECORDS look set to be broken today, with the temperature forecast to reach 38 for the Rose City, almost one degree above than the hottest October maximum on record.
Weatherzone is also tipping possible thunderstorms today and tomorrow, with temperatures easing slightly during the week to 33 (Wednesday and Friday) and 31 (Thursday).
More showers and storms are predicted for Friday and Saturday.
Warwick stormchaser Chris McFerran said last Friday's predictions of a storm did not disappoint, with a big - albeit short-lived - downpour seeing drains and pipes overflowing during the rodeo mardi gras.
"In true Warwick Rodeo fashion a supercell formed just south of Warwick and moved north rotating over town delivering torrential rain if you were under its path," Mr McFerran said.
"On sunset the cell exploded with colour and while the lightning bolts were elusive we chased the cell to Allora where it dissipated as it lost the heat after sunset.
"It was a truly spectacular formation and rotation as it hovered over town."
