Records smashed at Assumption College athletics
ATHLETICS: Twenty-one individual and three records were broken at this year's Assumption College athletics, which finished yesterday.
The final day of the carnival was on the school oval yesterday.
The biggest record breaker was Darling Downs representative Jackson Pitstock, who set 12 years records in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, long jump, triple jump and high jump.
Kiah Murray set new marks in the 12 years 800m, 1500m, long jump and triple jump. Cooper Seng set two new records in 13 years discus and shot put.
Lily Osborne set a new record of 1.26m in 11 years high jump at St Mary's and improved her personal best by .01 this year to break the Assumption 12 years record.
She also set a new mark in the 400m.
Sophie Cartwright equalled the 400m open record and broke the 800m record.
Bethany McMahon set a new mark in 12 years shotput while Cooper Tate-Roche set a new record in 15 years discus.
Tom Doherty set a new record in the 12 years 1500m and Connor Reimers in shotput. Rice House broke three relay records.
Rice won the relay and interhouse trophies. Romero secured the Lee Gunderman House Spirit Award.
