Redbacks battle gamely in Politch's 100th game

AUSSIE RULES: Andrew Politch was outstanding in his 100th game but the Warwick Redbacks went down by 108 points to Dalby Swans in Dalby on Saturday.

Warwick turned up for the game with 14 players and coach Peter Millard couldn't have been happier with the effort.

"No one could leave the field as the rules state teams below 14 automatically forfeit,” he said

"Dalby was pretty good, they agreed to play 14 a side but they had plenty of fresh legs to bring on and we had none,” he said.

"Andrew Politch was fantastic in defence in his 100th game for the Redbacks.

"Nick Donges must have saved 20 goals, he went well at the back after playing up forward all of his career.

The Redbacks will now play Chinchilla at Warwick Credit Union Oval at 2pm on Saturday in the club's last game of the season. The juniors are in Toowoomba on Saturday and also had away games at the weekend.
