PUT on a fancy suit and tie or an elegant dress and spend a night at the Town Hall enjoying fine dining and music, all for charity.

Next weekend the Warwick Redbacks will host a Community Charity Ball to raise money and awareness for mental health.

Redbacks club president Ben Lubben said the club has helped him through his own ups and downs and now he wants to help the community.

"I know, when I have a bad day there are a dozen people I can call or have actually reached out to me to make sure I am ok," Mr Lubben said.

"And it's that support network from the club that keeps me going."

The club president said mental health issues affected more people than it seemed.

"It's an issue which is very close to home for the club, mental health affects almost everyone in the community one way or another," Mr Lubben said.

"The best treatment is finding a support network and being open about your situation."

Wanting to support local services donations made on the night will go towards headspace Warwick.

"We really wanted to ensure the money raised was going towards helping locals," Mr Lubben said.

"The team at headspace play an important role helping our youth."

Headspace Warwick mental health social worker Kathy Payne said they were looking forward to joining the social event and encourage all people to come along.

"We are all looking after the well-being of the young people in our community," Mrs Payne said.

"The money raised from the evening will be used to help us lead projects for local youths."

The night will include a silent auction with 13 sporting memorabilia from AFL, NRL, V8 racing and boxing codes. All proceeds will go to headspace Warwick.

The main item up for grabs is a Brisbane Lions jersey complete with signatures from the 2018 playing team.
