Redbacks pull gritty comeback against Towoomba
EARLY in the third quarter of the Warwick Redbacks game against South Toowoomba in Saturday's Aussie Rules at Reddies Oval, one could have been excused for writing off the home side.
Warwick was four goals behind but the team showed they are contenders this year with a brilliant comeback.
The Redbacks kicked four goals to one in the final quarter to win by six points, 10.10. (70) to 9.10. (64). The game was moved to Warwick due to the wet conditions with both Kris Millard and Kyle Thorn outstanding.
Goondiwindi won at home against Coolaroo so it is Goondiwindi first, Coolaroo second and Warwick third on the league table.
Warwick lost to Goondiwindi in women's Aussie Rules.
