Redbacks return to division 1 in Aussie rules
AUSSIE RULES: Holman Medal winners Tyhe Clarkson and Kurt Millard will return to the field for the Warwick Redbacks in AFL Darling Downs division 1 fixtures in next year's season.
Coach Peter Millard said Warwick had been promoted to division 1 on the back of its minor premiership win in division 2 in this year's season.
"Tyhe Clarkson has told me he is playing for the Redbacks,” Peter said.
Last season, Clarkson won a premiership in first-division with University but always planned to play for Warwick again when the team was back in the top division.
"Tyhe will boost our player stocks across the midfield and half-forward line,” Peter said.
Both Clarkson (2016) and Kurt Millard (2013) have won Holman Medals for fairest and best in division 1 while playing for Warwick in the league.
Kurt missed most of last season with a hamstring injury.
He just played enough games to qualify for the division 2 finals but was injured in the semi and missed the grand final.
New and returning players are welcome at training each Tuesday and Thursday from January 11 at Warwick Credit Union Oval.
