Redbacks take part in a different type of ball game

IT'S TIME to suit up because the Redbacks are inviting the Warwick community once again to their mid-season black tie event.

After last year's hit night out, Redbacks president Ben Lubben thought it was time for a second round, already receiving plenty of support.

"We've got pretty much everyone from last year and more,” Mr Lubben said.

The ball is set to feature live entertainment from Sleeping Dogs and a three-course meal by Belle Vue Cafe.

Mr Lubben said he was looking forward to the night out and saw it as the perfect way for the community to forget about recent hardships.

"Obviously these are tough times with drought and other issues throughout the year, ” he said.

"But it's a chance to let our hair down and have some fun.

"It's a function that doesn't happen often in Warwick and you can dress yourself up and feel good.

"We get so much from the community, this is the one time of the year to give back.”

While Mr Lubben said he had received a few questions about the black tie dress code, most attendees were willing to dress up for the event.

"It has definitely been well-received,” he said.

"We're not trying to be snobby but it's a chance to get everyone looking good and rugged up in winter, which is the perfect time for it.”

All money made from the night will go towards supporting the club and their new junior development.

If you are interested phone Ben Lubben on 0438305590, but be quick because spots are limited.
