Redbacks to take you on a strange journey

IT MADE a plump set of lips more famous than those of Angelina Jolie, and its grotesque yet brilliant story has had the world captivated to this day.

Believed to be the longest-running theatrical film in history, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a classic like no other.

Come Saturday, Roddie's Oval clubhouse will be a scene from the musical, as the Redbacks host the first ever event in their new building.

The dinner dance will be a fundraiser for the club and event co-ordinator Julie Black said they were bracing for a crazy night.

"We've got Tanya and Jason Wright as the narrators and anyone who knows Tanya knows that when she's got a microphone, it won't be a quiet night," Ms Black said.

Guests must don their best Rocky Horror costumes and make-up to kill is a must - even for the boys.

"Anyone that doesn't dress up will be fined on the night," Ms Black said.

"Plus they will look like the silly ones when everyone else is dressed up."

Tickets are just $40 and include a buffet dinner, and drinks will be available at the bar.

The club hopes to raise at least $2000 to go towards decking out the new clubhouse with tables, chairs etc.

Phone Ms Black on 0418 736 915 for information and tickets.

Prizes will be up for grabs for the best dressed, so get creative!
