Reebok win the season decider in the squash

SQUASH: Reebok has won the Warwick Rose Squash Club grand finals at the St Mary's Courts.

The grand final was between minor premiers Reebok and No. 2 team Saucony.

Nathan Costello (Reebok) and Laura Babington (Saucony) took to the courts first, a very close game was contested by these two players.

Costello took the first rubber three games to one for Reebok.

Darren Wall (Reebok) and Jenny Gillott (Saucony) battled it out once again in a tight five-set match with Wall sneaking in to a 15-14 win giving Reebok a two rubbers to nil advantage.

Harold Byrne (Reebok) and Mark Thomas (Saucony) on line 2 played a fast game with fine shots from both players. Thomas took the match in a close three-set match giving the Saucony team its first rubber.

The last match was between line 1 Nev Erskine (Reebok) and Kyle Sowden (Saucony) with Sowden knowing he had to win for his team to win the final.

Erskine loves to rally long and hard and Sowden stayed with him. It was an entertaining game showing sheer determination from both players. He might have been exhausted but Erskine came up trumps for Reebok in the fifth game.

The second season will start with the first muster on July 11 at 6.30pm at St Mary's Courts. Juniors start on July 17 at 3.30pm.
