POLICE intercepted a Ford ute towing an unregistered horse float on Thursday, only to find a little more than an absent registration sticker.

The 57-year-old West Australian driver of the vehicle was pulled to the side of the Cunningham Hwy, just north of Warwick and after a number of checks, police found the float to be reported stolen from Sandstone, WA.

On inspecting the vehicle, police discovered a Harley Davidson motorcycle which was also suspected stolen, and 500g of marijuana.

The man was headed to Biggera Waters on the Gold Coast to where he said he was moving.

He was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, bringing stolen goods into Queensland, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of utensils.

Officer-in-charge of the Warwick Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Sergent Darren Tamblyn said it was not a surprise to see this sort of offence.

"It doesn't surprise me, seeing people bring stolen goods into Queensland, but I wouldn't say I see if often," Det Sgt Tamblyn said.

The penalty for bringing stolen goods into Queensland is up to seven years behind bars.

The offender was released on bail as investigations into the matter continue.

In an unrelated incident, a 17-year-old Loganlea teen has been arrested for a number of crimes committed on January 4.

It seems he had a field day, allegedly making his way to three different locations to commit crimes in each, and all within the space of a few hours.

The teenager was charged for his alleged involvement with a break and enter of a bowls club just over the New South Wales border, leaving with a quantity of alcohol.

He then is alleged to have made his way to Warwick where it is believed he stole a trailer from the Shell Service Station on Albion St.

Police believe the teenager then made his way to Top Two Motorcycles on Palmerin St where he stole three motorbikes.

Police found one bike a few days ago, but further investigations are continuing into the case.

It is believed the teenager was accompanied by up to four others.

"We believe up to four others were with him and are investigating into this," Detective Sergent Darren Tamblyn said.
