Relay for Life teams get the ball rolling
THERE'S just five weeks remaining until Warwick's Relay for Life, with plenty of time left to get behind the participating teams and donate to the cause.
Tomorrow is a big day of fundraisers for two teams - Determined Exhaustion and Santa's Little Helpers.
Determined Exhaustion, who are a team of Warwick High School students, are holding a sausage sizzle at the Suburbs Rugby Field from 8.30am. Sausages and fairy floss will be available for $2, with all proceeds going to help the Cancer Council of Queensland's fight against cancer.
Meanwhile in Allora, the Santa's Little Helpers team will be holding an afternoon of fun, sure to appeal to anyone who likes to get out and about.
The Golf and Fun Day, to be held at the Allora Bowls and Golf Club, is open to anybody interested in nine holes of golf and a three-ball Ambrose, plus nine ends of bowls.
Beginning at 1pm, the games will include a sausage sizzle for $2.50 plus a multi-draw raffle.
To join in the fun it will cost $20 per person, which includes both the golf and bowls games.
