Released on bail after six months

A MAN charged with a number of motorcycle thefts from late 2009 was released on bail yesterday after a committal mention at the Warwick Magistrates Court after six months in custody.

Stephen Wayne Glew, 34, was facing 16 charges in total yesterday.

Eleven of the charges have been committed for trial in the Toowoomba Supreme Court for a later date and five charges for mentions at the Warwick Magistrates Court on May 31, 2010.

He was released on bail to his Elbow Valley residence with the conditions not to enter the township of Warwick, to report to the Officer in Charge of Killarney Police Station on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, among other conditions.

He faces a number of charges for unlawful possession of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and entering premises with intent.

Glew is also charged with possession and supply of dangerous drugs and possession of drug utensils, as well as a breach of domestic violence order.
