Relief ahead for the Southern Downs: Weekend weather
AFTER week of plunging maximum temperatures, freezing nights and biting winds, the Southern Downs is headed for a little relief.
The forecast for the next three days is looking warmer with only light winds.
The expected maximum today is heading for 18 degrees with a low of 4 degrees overnight.
For the weekend, the region can expect a couple of pleasant winter days with tomorrow's maximum getting up to 19 and then 20 degrees on Saturday, with minimums only reaching 5 or 6 degrees on both nights.
There is zero chance of rain for the Southern Downs and Granite Belt over the weekend.
This weather trend will continue through Monday and Tuesday, with warmer days being the norm but expect to see a return to much lower maximums through Wednesday and Thursday next week as temperatures plummet again.
The temperature right now in Warwick is 5.5 degrees.
