Resident sleeps through early morning break-in

A DOUGLAS St residence was broken into on Monday, while a person was asleep inside.

The break-in was reported to Warwick police after a man returned from a quick trip to the service station to find his wife's iPad, wallet and mobile were stolen while his wife slept inside.

The man reported noticing two men at the property next door but thought nothing of it until he returned to find the items missing.

The break-in occurred between 5am and 5.10am.

Police investigations are continuing.
