Teens charged over brazen East Toowoomba home invasion

UPDATE: Police have charged three teenagers, aged 14, 15 and 19, following investigations into a burglary of a Toowoomba home yesterday.

It will be alleged that a 22-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman disturbed three people inside a Godsall St home about 12.20pm,

It will be further alleged the trio, who were armed with a baseball bat and a knife, assaulted the man, before fleeing on foot with a sum of cash and a wallet.

Two Harristown boys, aged 14 and 15, and a 19-year-old Redland Bay woman have been charged with two counts each of stealing and deprivation of liberty, and one count each of enter dwelling with intent, and assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed.

The 14-year-old boy and 19-year-old woman have also been charged with threatening violence.

The teenage boys will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.

A 19-year-old Redland Bay woman appeared in Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.

WEDNESDAY: A woman and three boys are this afternoon helping police with their investigation of a home invasion in Toowoomba today.

At 12.20pm, the occupants of a Godsall St residence disturbed two boys inside their house.

"One boy was armed with a baseball bat while the second was armed with a knife," a police spokesman said.

"It is believed a third person was searching a bedroom."

After being disturbed, the group left the residence.

Two boys were located a short time later in nearby parkland, while another boy and the woman were located at another address.

No-one was physically injured during this incident, however a sum of money and wallet were stolen.

Police are still trying to locate the missing items.
