Residents warned to secure caravans after spate of thefts

WARWICK residents are warned to keep their caravans secure, after a spate of caravan thefts in the Darling Downs region during the last month.

The latest one came last week when a van parked in a yard on the Gore Highway at Pittsworth for possible sale was taken.

It is believed the offenders cut chains securing the gates, entered the yard and stole the vehicle.

Police are asking Southern Downs residents to keep an eye out for it.

It is not currently registered and not fitted with any plates.

Anyone with information that could assist Crime Stoppers should call 1800 333 000 or visit crimestoppers.com.au.
