REVEALED: Broncos name team for Warwick game

RUGBY LEAGUE: Five players with NRL experience are in the Brisbane Broncos squad of 23 for the 6pm game in Warwick on Saturday against the Souths Logan Magpies from the Intrust Super Cup.

The game will be the first hit-out for the Broncos this season and the first chance for new coach Anthony Seibold to look at his charges.

While Seibold will be in Warwick for the Friday night Sportsman's Dinner at the Cowboys clubhouse, junior coaching and games, he won't be hands on in the main game as one of his assistants, Kurt Richards, will run the team in the trial game.

One of the best known players in the Broncos team for Warwick is boom youngster Payne Haas who debuted against South Sydney, then coached by Seibold, in April last year.

Haas, who turns 20 today, injured his shoulder in his second game last year, had a shoulder reconstruction and is now impressing at training for the Broncos in the run-up to Saturday's game.

Prop Patrick Mago played 12 NRL grames for the Broncos last season and will come off the bench on Saturday at Father Ranger Oval.

Hooker Jake Turpin and centre Gehamat Shibasaki both debuted for the Broncos last season and will play in Warwick.

Outside back Richie Kennar will be on one wing after joining the Broncos following time at Melbourne and Souths Rabbitohs.

The next crop of Broncos youngster will be pressing hard in Warwick to impress Seibold who will come up with a top-17 for the start of the NRL season.

The curtain raisers on Saturday afternoon are two games between Brisbane Wests and the Toowoomba Clydesdales.

There will also be junior coaching on Saturday.
