REVEALED: Warwick's favourite takeaway joint
WARWICK has spoken and the Rose City's favourite takeaway food option has been crowned.
A post on the Warwick Classifieds Facebook page called out for Warwick's favourite and residents stepped up with dozens of responses.
At the end of the day, there was a clear winner - Charchy's on Westside.
Adam and Mandy Nesbitt opened the shop in July 2016 and Mr Nesbitt said the venture had gone from strength to strength since then.
"It's been great," he said.
"Everyone got behind us and that's hugely important as anyone in business will know.
"The majority of feedback has been very positive, and that's always really good to hear.
"Often that's the only way you find out you're on the right track.
"Of course we're human and make mistakes occasionally but we'll learn from them and try to make sure they don't happen again."
Mr Nesbitt said it was a great boost to know Warwick enjoyed what they were serving up.
"It's lovely to hear, very pleasing that the locals think of us in that regard," he said.
"We have a great team and we're always trying to do the best we can, use fresh products and keep every uniform so hopefully every bit of fish and every serve of chips is the same every time."
Mr Nesbitt said despite the busy times, the staff still strove to get everything right.
"Last Friday night we had about 100 orders lined up in 15 minutes, we were under the pump that's for sure," he said.
"But we try to get everything out as quickly as possible, and let people know there's going to be a wait.
"But the feedback is that it's worth it and that makes it all worth it for us."
Try the Charchy's fish and chips - always a winner or if you're after a serious feed, have a go at the The Big Charch burger.
