Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson set to roll into Lockyer Valley
DWAYNE 'The Rock' Johnson will be in the Lockyer Valley on Monday filming for a new feature film.
The Hollywood star and former wrestler will shoot scenes for San Andreas, an action, drama and thriller epic.
Last month Johnson told reporters he had been looking forward to his three-month stay in Australia which involved stints at locations across south-east Queensland.
"It's a great role and a great project that I'm excited about, and getting back here to Australia is always good," he said.
"I was raised in Hawaii and there's a lot of similarities here to that Polynesian culture."
Last week Warner Bros sent a letter to residents that said after a long search the Lockyer Valley was chosen as the perfect Californian rural road location for the $100 million epic adventure.
According to the letter filming would involve left hand drive car driving sequences.
San Andreas is set after an earthquake hits California.
Johnson plays the role of a rescue helicopter pilot as he makes a perilous trip across the state to rescue his estranged daughter.
San Andreas will be released in 2015.
