Roddies off fishing

RODDIE has got the rod ready and is off to lure his line and leave the shop behind.

It's not a lack of business that has seen Roddie Kilner put his fish and chip shop up for sale, but rather an excuse to retire.

"Roddie's going fishing," Mr Kilner laughed.

Despite only being up and running for a few months, Mr Kilner said he was keen to sell.

"The intention was to start it and my daughter's got the other shop so it's an excuse to retire," he said.

"If it sells, Roddie is going fishing for a long time."

The Albion St shop is on the market for $110,000, walk in walk out.

Mr Kilner said business was thriving and buyers would not be disappointed.

"The food is great, the customers are fantastic," he said.

"It's all good business and it's going well and Warwick needs a good fish and chip shop."

Business is as usual until it sells - Wednesday to Sunday noon-8pm.
