RODEO PROGRAM: Everything you need to know this weekend

TODAY

Campdrafting

RODEO fans are in for a treat as the biggest rodeo weekend of the year hits the Warwick Showgrounds.

Round 1 of the Frasers Livestock Transport Stallion Draft will kick off the day at 6am.

At 11am the showgrounds will hold a presentation for the National Champion Rider of Australia Challenge.

From 11.30am spectators will see the Final of the Frasers Livestock Transport Stallion Draft, followed by a presentation.

At 2pm riders of the Black Toyota Canning Downs Draft will hit the grounds for their finals, followed by presentations at 3.30pm.

Rodeo

RODEO action will get underway from 10am this morning with junior barrel racing, saddle bronc and bull riding.

At 11.15am spectators will be treated to a mule race on the grounds.

From 1.15pm through to 5.30pm competitors will compete in a range of second division categories from bull riding, saddle bronc, junior steer ride and breakaway roping.

At about 2pm competitors will break for a special arena act.

The grand entry will start at 6pm with a special appearance from the four rodeo queens followed by ladies' barrel racing, bareback, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc, ladies' breakaway roping, rope and tie, and bull ride.

Events

FOR those who wish to take a break from the rodeo action, head down to Palmerin St at midday to watch the Warwick Credit Union Street Parade and Rodeo Country Craft Markets.

The main street will be closed as 20 floats make their way through Rose City CBD.

The markets will host more than 170 stalls, a jumping castle, slippery slides and face painting.

TOMORROW

Campdraft

TOMORROW crowds will see round two of the Pryde's EasiFeed Warwick Gold Cup from 5am.

The final for the Warwick Gold Cup will be held at midday.

Presentations will be made at about 1.30pm.

Organisers reminded spectators that all times could be subject to change.

Rodeo

AT 1.30pm spectators will be treated to the final grand entry with another lot of ladies' barrel racing, bareback, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc, ladies' breakaway, rope and tie and a feature bull ride.

Adults pass $25 a day, $15 students and pensioners, $5 for children 5-14 years. A family pass is $50/day.
